Our lesson program is designed to focus on all levels of individual drum instruction that will show marked improvement from week to week as well as guaranteed advancement!
Matthias will access each students' level and individual appetite for what they wish to accomplish in an entertaining musical atmosphere. Lessons focus on meter , groove, fills , songs and reading with a goal of marked improvement for every stage of skill. Styles include : Jazz, Latin, Funk , Rock , Metal ,R&B and Country.
We will also utilize live instrumentation to forge live and recording band education. Students will engage in aspects of studio recording, editing and live improvisation which are commensurate with today's music business.

Drums have been a continual love affair that started in Orinda, California circa 1979. After teaching ten straight lessons, I often find myself navigating straight to the drums, which is a testament to my love and dedication for this wonderful instrument.
Years of study combined with a career including major record deals, thousands of live shows and recordings all over the world have enabled me to deliver drum information in a highly enjoyable atmosphere that can be coded for each individual's ability.
